Age Requirements
- All enrolling kindergarteners must be 5 years of age by September 1st of the enrolling year.
- All enrolling first graders must be 6 years of age bySeptember 1st of the enrolling year.
Entrance Requirements for New Applicants
- Fill out the Registration Form (See Admission Form download provided under “Admission Forms / Rates”)
- Supply copies of birth and baptismal certificates for Catholic students; birth certificates for Non-Catholic students.
- Supply Immunization records, according to state guidelines.
- Pay all Registration fees required.
Re-Registration
- Re-registration for the upcoming year is held each spring.
- There is a non-refundable registration/book fee due at that time, which reserves the student’s place in the class for the fall. This fee must be paid by the due date in order to guarantee the student’s place in the class.
- All tuition and fees of the current year must be paid in full by June 15th. Parents will not be able to register their child/ren during final registration in August unless all delinquent fees and tuition have been paid in full.
Tuition

- It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that all accounts are current.
Financial Aid / Parish Tuition Assistance Program
Limited tuition grant money is available through the parish. An evaluation committee appointed by the pastor dispenses funds. All families desiring to receive tuition/grant money must apply through Facts Grant and Aid Assissment. Deadline for applying for tuition assistance with FACTS through the Archdiocese of Portland in March for the following school year.

Non-Bullying Policy and Reporting Procedure
- St. Francis School is committed to making our school a safe and caring place for all students, parents and staff. Each person will be treated with respect at all times. Bullying of any form will not be tolerated on the school grounds at any time. Bullying is defined as unfair and one-sided. It happens when someone keeps hurting, frightening, threatening, or leaving someone out on purpose. Students will receive instruction about respect for others through the following programs:
- Second Step, A Violence Prevention Curriculum for grades Pre-K-8;
- Steps to Respect, A Bullying Prevention Curriculum for grades 3 through 6.
- Called to Protect: Personal Safety sessions for grades K-8.
